How I became a six-figure Youtuber (twice) Masterclass: my 5-step playbook.

It was, unfortunately, the third time I had ended up in the ER in two months.
From the outside, my life looked like I was crushing it. I had built a six-figure business from Youtube, had written multiple books, had 250,000 subscribers on my channel, was in the 2nd year of a medical program to be a Doctor of Acupuncture, etc.
Lots of my long-term life goals were coming true, and it seemed like I had done a good job of knowing how to achieve goals.
And then I got really sick.
I was actually in the middle of recording my audiobook for my second book, Milk the Pigeon, when I started having persistent heart palpitations, and then when we finished, felt abnormally exhausted, called my dad and said,
“I think i’m having a heart attack.”
I immediately began driving to the ER, and the radiating sensation of chest pain, my left arm tingling, and shortness of breath began kicking in.
I swallowed hard, and drove as fast as I could to the ER.

The next few years were in and out of doctors’ offices, integrative medicine clinics, and working with alternative practitioners trying to figure out how I had stressed myself out so badly.
It culminated in a shamanic journey in Mexico, where I did Psilocybin (aka magic mushrooms) twice in a healing ceremony, to try and figure out what I needed to do, how I needed to live differently, etc. going forward.
I had to literally make sure that next time, I didn’t die.
Here's where I did the psychedelic ceremonies:
After that psychedelic, shamanic journey (something I NEVER thought I would do, or wanted to do), I began asking a different question.
What are my gut instincts and intuition ACTUALLY SAYING I SHOULD BE DOING?
How easy can this be? How much fun can this be? How little can I do “the hard thing?”
How much can I be in flow? What if I could have 80% of my work day in my “Zone of Genius?”
What if I just let go and surrendered, and stopped trying to PUSH everything?
What happened next, I will never forget as long as I live.
The next few years were nuts, and the easiest "success" I had ever had:
The craziest thing? I wasn’t even working 40 hours a week. I wasn’t exhausted. I wasn’t pushing. And while it took a long time to heal, I didn’t have a fraction of those symptoms that I had.
And my life was a hell of a lot more fun.
When I began applying some of the principles of intuition, resonance, alignment, and 'vibration,' I realized I was try to "push" too hard to get people to buy my books and grow my business. I instead focused on flow, fun, and letting go.
I moved to Los Angeles during the pandemic, and gave up on dating. I felt incredibly unhappy about the whole thing, and had sworn off love. The universe is a funny thing though, and a few months later, I met my girlfriend through these principles.
During a global pandemic, I finished my doctorate in Acupuncture & Traditional Chinese Medicine and opened up a practice in Los Angeles. I 100% assumed I would go out of business, since the world was shutting down. Ironically, I made almost six-figures the first year, and it doubled every year since.
I began another channel - Dr. Alex Heyne - which was all about my healing journey, and teaching people about Traditional Chinese Medicine. The channel, even though it was small, blew up and helped all these new patients find me.
I'm the author of "Master the Day," "Milk the Pigeon" and several other books.
I have two Youtube channels with 500,000+ subscribers, each one being a six figure business.
I'm also a board-licensed Doctor of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine.
After a series of difficult health crises, I realized that I had learned a lot about "external" goal setting (as I like to call it), but I really knew nothing about the inner goal setting process. In other words, I could push myself to achieve goals, write books, make six-figures from Youtube, and get a doctorate.
Unfortunately, I hadn't figured out how to be successful, happy and healthy through the inner practices that generate flow in your life.
1. Your gut instincts and intuition are the fastest path to success and life fulfillment - the trouble is, they don’t EXPLAIN the way, they just point the way.
For example, my gut told me to move to Los Angeles, something I never, ever thought that I would do in a million years.
But it kept tugging on me, so I trusted it.
Not long after I opened up my clinic, I kept bumping into this one girl in my neighborhood, and we would just talk over coffee.
One day, she mentioned she’s a producer for the local news station, KTLA Channel 5, and wanted to produce a series with a local “alternative doctor” on gut health.
Literally, three weeks later, this was my clinic featured in the news in LA.
What’s crazy is that, I didn’t seek this out. It came to me. And it led to a HUGE influx of new patients in my clinic.
2. Following what excites you (‘alignment’) is the fastest path to finding out what your gut instinct/intuition is.
Why have my self published books done so well?
I’ve made more than six figures in royalties from them, and even 7 years later, look at how much my royalties are:
The reason? The goal wasn’t just to “write some book” so I have a book. It was from an INNER intention to write something that connected with people.
As a result, it was both EASIER to write, and EASIER to read - because it connected. It doesn’t mean a random book can’t succeed, after all, lots of other random books have sold more copies.
3. Your beliefs dictate how far and fast you can travel the path to 10x success and happiness.
For example, I developed a belief that I DO NOT HAVE TO WORK HARD TO SUCCEED. The results are what matter in my business.
So what happened? I chose the easiest (most aligned) way to market my clinic – Youtube videos – and any time I didn’t follow that, I lost money.
I worked < 25 hours a week in this business, and look at the revenue growth (2023 was higher, but my bookkeeper didn't finish those books).
It doubled every single year - and I didn't care at all how fast it grew.
This was because I had two beliefs:
1. Success can come easily
2. Success does not require lots of work
3. Success just requires alignment
4. How much you can let go (not force) will determine how good you feel inside, regardless of success level.
Why did I get so damn sick?
Because I was too busy pushing success like a boulder up a hill. These inner spiritual principles talk about ideas like, "don’t force anything," staying aligned means you’re working on what excites you as much as you can, and you try to stay in that ‘higher vibration’ of allowing, surrender, excitement, what draws on me.
Then, I began to roll this out with coaching clients, and some students in my online programs (without telling them It was ‘manifesting’). Check it out:

1. MYTH #1: Your thoughts create things: I just think and believe, and magic manifests in my life.
Sorry, it doesn’t work like that.
Do you just pray to write a book, and it gets written, even if you don’t write?
Do you just pray for flat abs, never go to the gym and lift a weight, and you get them?
Do you just pray to meet your soulmate, never leave your home, and they just walk in the front door and want to get married?i
Clearly, no.
Outer goal setting is all about the external strategies, habits, daily rituals, and tactics, like I talk about in Master the Day.
2. MYTH #2: I just need to trust my gut, and focus on what excites me, and magic will happen.
We attract who we ARE.
The classic example is love.
I once knew a girl who was going far out of her way to ‘manifest’ he dream man, she was doing all the processes from the “Secret,” writing out her desires, and then sort of trying to let the universe fill in those breadcrumbs.
After six months, she was SO unhappy that it wasn’t happening, that she actually asked me to go sit nearby her on a DATE she was going on.
I really didn’t want to, but I wanted to help my friend. So I came with her to her date (early), sat a few tables away, and got a beer, and just hung out on my phone.
After her date finished, she goes, see, I wasn’t really feeling it AT ALL. What did you see?
“Honestly, you come off REALLY negative, and somewhat insecure. The dude was giving you weird looks whenever you made a slightly negative comment about men, the state of the world, etc. And when he’d tease you back, you looked pretty hurt and insecure by it.”
As it turns out, my friend was doing “all the manifesting” advice, but her low vibe was turning off guys… a LOT.
3. If I look at my goals and intentions EVERY day, my life goals will happen, with enough time.
Really?
That's like praying for a six pack, but doing nothing.
Or praying to have written a book.
Or praying for 10,000 subscribers on youtube.
Or praying for that hot girl or hot guy to just approach you and ask you out.
Clearly, action is a piece, but not the only piece.
This 5-week online program is a science-meets-spirituality course on how to practically manifest in your life.
We focus on three main quadrants: manifesting money and financial resources, manifesting more flow, ease, and less difficulty in achieving goals, and love & connection.

This program is not about goal setting. It’s about dealing with subconscious belief patterns, mindsets, habits, and things that people collectively call your “vibe” or “vibration” – which is essential, because you attract who you are, in addition to what you believe.
In this module, you’re going to learn:

IF NOT, DO SOMETHING DIFFERENT.
The most important question in my 1:1 coaching with my clients is this:
Do you want to be where you are, one year from now?
If the answer is "definitely not," you have to do something about the way you think, your beliefs about your life and reality, as well as your daily rituals and daily actions.
This program will shake up EVERYTHING you think you know about what your "upper limits" are, for how good life can get. And it all starts with letting go of fears, changing beliefs, improving your degree of alignment daily, and then letting go of the outcome.
Look, if you don’t absolutely LOVE this program, I want to give you your money back. Look, the vast majority of people in the health industry try to show you some “revolutionary” B.S. But the truth is that weight loss is pretty simple (not easy), and anyone who tells you differently is a liar or is trying to sell you some stupid ab wheel.
If this program doesn’t give you EVERYTHING you need – all the answers – I’ll give you all your money back. Just shoot me a quick one-line email anytime in 60 days and I’ll give you your money back.
The fundamental question in life is this: do you want to be where you are right now, one year from now? If not, do something different -- like changing your mindset about what's possible.
